ELK - Global Emission Inventory - Land Transport Sector, 2019

This dataset contains a global gridded distribution of emissions for the land transport sector as monthly and annual means for year 2019 and has been developed by DLR within the project EmissionsLandKarte (ELK). The methodology is based on a bottom-up approach of country-specific emission factor and fleet databases. Transport performance is calculated for each country based on GDP, motorization rate, and modal share. The spatial disaggregation is based on traffic counts where available, for most of the countries road density and population data are used.
